On our way to Texas

We left home April 15^th and stopped at Suwannee River State Park a couple nights, then two nights at Blackwater River State Park, about 30 miles to Pensacoloa, FL  and a few miles further across the bay, Gulf Islands National Seashore. The sand and beaches here are beautiful and the weather was great.

We stayed three nights at Fontainbleu State Park on the North side of Lake Pontchartrain in Mandeville, LA about 40 miles from New Orleans. We spent one day in the French Quarter enjoying the sites, street music, and the food!

We’re now on our way to Lake Whitney State Park about 70 miles south of Dallas where we’ll spend a couple months as volunteer Park Hosts.
