We took a break from our Camp Hosting in Escalante for a
couple weeks and travelled 230 miles over to Moab, UT to our Heartland Owners
Club Utah Chapter Rally. We have 25 rigs here at Spanish Trails RV Park.
Nearby is Arches National Park where we’ve been before;
Arches has many natural Arches and great beauty. Also about 30 miles is
Canyonlands National Park; Our first visit here and I’m sorry we had never
stopped in earlier. At this writing, we’ve spent two days exploring and it has
become our new favorite National Park. The Canyon views are Awesome and we’ve
been able to see the park looking into the canyons from the top as well as looking
up from the bottom. With a 4WD vehicle,
there are many roads to be explored, both inside the park and outside the park.
The area is vast and in Moab there are many places to rent jeeps, ATV’s, dirt
bikes, etc. Also, many bring their own
toys. Many RV parks available that fill
up fast, so advance reservations are a must. Moab is an outdoorsman paradise.
Enjoy these pics. The scenery to us, is about the best we've seen

Petroglyphs on these walls from Indians who once inhabited the area. These are about 30 feet from the cliff bottom. How did they get up there? Ladders? |

We’ll stay in Moab one week, then return to Escalante, Utah
by June 1st, via Blanding, Utah for three days, then Torrey, Utah for three days. We'll be staying in Escalante until September 1st then head to Northern Utah for a while before starting our trek back to Arizona by November 1st where we'll spend the winter in Apache Junction, Arizona.
