12-26 to 1-1-12 Gold Head Branch State Park, Florida

We're doing a couple trial runs to work out any bugs in our new home. We spent 6 nights in two different Florida State Parks - Our first three nights at Rainbow Springs State park, just 80 miles North. I took zero pics here - I kept forgetting the camera when we went out.... This is a rally nice park on the Rainbow River which is spring fed chrystal clear water.  We rented a canoe one afternoon and enjoyed an hour-long run down the river, and half-enjoyed the paddle back.  In the evening, we visited the parks annual Christmas light display - a fantastic display meandering throught the park trails.  The next day we went back and walked the trails to see what it looked like in the daytime - One of the best we've been in -  worth the trip back - this time I'll take pics to share.

The second three nights were at Gold Head State Park, 6 miles from Keystone Heights, FL which is maybe 35 miles Soutwest of Jacksonville.  Not as nice as Rainbow Springs, but some good trails along a natural ravine that runs through the park.
